Check in/Check out

We will have your cabin ready for you to check-in by 3pm and we ask that you are checked out before 11am. 

The cabin has a smart lock and you will be sent the key code prior to your check in day.  We will gladly offer earlier check-in whenever possible.

We are located 25 min. from Guysborough (Hospital, Grocery, Pharmacy, Gas, Hardware, Bank, Restaurant, Dollar Store, Liquor Store)

And 15 min. from Canso (Pharmacy, Grocery, Liquor Store, Restaurant)

There is a Gas Station & Convenient Store 5 min. from the Cabin.

Pets

We are very much a pet friendly property and there is no extra fee for your pets. We do however ask that in return extra care is given to keep our cabin fur free. Pets are not permitted on the bed. Feel free to bring your own blankets/covers from home to cover the couch or use the beach/campfire blankets provided. 

Please use the vacuum at the cabin to help manage fur during your stay.

Extra charges may occur if significant cleaning is required or damages caused.

Because the cabin offers so much space and privacy, we hope that pet owners of all dogs will feel comfortable and have a stress free stay :)

Included in the Cabin

Full kitchen with fridge/freezer (ice in freezer), stove, oven, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, and all basic cookware & dishes. (No microwave)

Also provided is: French press coffee maker, locally roasted coffee, tea, hot chocolate, instant decaf, sugar & cream. Salt, pepper & olive oil are also provided.

Towels & bedding are provided with extra bedding for pullout sofa in bedroom storage bench.

Shampoo, conditioner and soap bars are provided.

There is a hair dryer and first aid kit in the bathroom.

You will also find in the cabin board games, reading material, cards, binoculars, beach/campfire blankets and a thermos.

There is a folding table and there are folding chairs hanging in the bedroom.

Meals

We are trying out offering some food/meals that can be added on.  This is currently available for stays between November 2024 and March 2025.  Contact us to add meals to your booking.

Pizza Kit for 2  Includes: 2 Homemade Pizza Doughs, Homemade Sauce, Local Nova Scotia Aged Ham, Mozzarella, Fresh Basil and an instruction card. Pizza stone, peel and cutter are also provided. Have FUN & Bon Appetit! Price: $15

Chicken Tikka Masala for 2 Includes a hearty Curry made with chicken thighs and full of authentic spices, Basmati Rice and Homemade Naan Bread.  Just heat and ENJOY!  Price: $15

Hot Tub

The hot tub is a spacious 4-person electric tub. We ask that you shower to rinse off sunscreen/lotion/bug spray before entering. There is a cover lifter to make taking the cover on and off extra easy but please remember to always put the cover back on immediately after use and always secure the cover clips. The temperature and jet controls are on the side of the hot tub that the cover goes off to. It is easier to see the controls once you are in the tub. We hope you enjoy it!

WIFI & Stuff

The cabin has fast Wi-Fi and cell service throughout the property is good. The password for the Wi-Fi is cove&sea

There is a smart TV in the cabin with a Disney+ account. There is no cable or satellite TV.

There is an Echo Dot Bluetooth Speaker available (Connect via Bluetooth - Say 'Alexa Connect' or with the cable provided)

Heat & Fires

Inside the cabin you will find a small but functional wood stove. We will make sure there is plenty of wood and fire starters available for those wishing to use it during cooler months. The cabin also has electric heat.

There are electric wall heaters in both the living room and bedroom and there is in-floor heating in the bathroom. There is also a towel warming bar in the bathroom with an on/off switch on the top. Please remember to turn it off when not in use.

FIRE WOOD is also provided (under the deck) for outdoor fires provided there is no fire ban in effect. Small beach fires are also permitted on calm days (provided there is no fire ban in effect). Wood can be gathered from the beach and there is also plenty of dead wood to be salvaged from the forest!

Visit our ACTIVITIES page for more info. Waivers must be signed prior to taking part in any outdoor activity.

Outdoor adventures include Walking/Hiking/Snowshoeing both on site and nearby trails. Snowshoes are provided in winter.

Biking - there are two bikes available to use at no extra charge. Helmets are provided.

Stand-up Paddle Boarding - two paddle boards are available at no extra charge and PFDs are provided. Paddle boards are not allowed to be taken off the property and must be used only for short distances. Kayaks are available for longer trips.

Tandem Kayak - The kayak can be rented for $30/day. Please let us know ahead if you are interested in renting a kayak or booking a private guided trip.
